We have regular monthly working parties where necessary maintenance of the woodland is carried out. A vital part of working woodland to enable the wood to thrive, which in turn attracts a wide variety of Flora and Fauna. An opportunity for everyone to help, join in and learn more about the countryside and its management.
Each month we have a work party on the last Sunday morning of the month, 9:30-12:30 with a break at half-time for lovely tea and cakes.
The activities vary according to the season; in the Autumn and Winter we may be cutting and stacking firewood and protecting the cut stools from browsing deer. A couple of times each summer we will rake up and remove the hay from the wildflower meadow to encourage regrowth
